Job Summary

In today's dynamic technology environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the information technology team at Colgate! Our highly technical and innovative team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive & Hill's Pet Nutrition in this ever-changing landscape while supporting our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Profession-to-Consumer (B2B2C) businesses.


This position has a full remote option with preference in Piscataway, NJ location.


The Role

The position will be responsible for developing and working with application developers using the latest technologies. This person will drive improvements in performance, security, maintainability and scalability of our applications. Our growing team is a group of innovators and technologists that love to learn and collaborate. Together, you'll use a disciplined, innovative and a business focused approach to develop a wide variety of high-quality eCommerce-based products and solutions. As an experienced Full Stack Developer, your mission is to help our team in creating next-level solutions that fulfill business requirements and provide engaging experiences to people who use our brands. Your knowledge of design, development process, coding, and testing will help our team raise their game while meeting standards as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements. Your expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build eCommerce web applications in the Direct-to-Consumer and Profession-to-Consumer spaces
  • Develop great UIs that users will love and appreciate while taking into consideration privacy, security and accessibility standard methodologies
  • Configure and customize third-party software integrations
  • Find opportunities to use new technologies and improve processes
  • Explore proof-of-concepts and bring to bear existing solutions for expansion to multiple geographies and business units
  • Build automated tests to validate acceptance criteria defined by project partners
  • Implement new features and fixes to existing code
  • Review pull requests
  • Participate in pair programming
  • Strive for clean code and help with refactoring

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 3 years Developing production eCommerce (or similar) websites
  • Solid foundation in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience developing front end web applications using JavaScript Frameworks like Vue/Nuxt, React/Next or Angular
  • Good understanding of functional programming
  • Familiarity with Node.js and server frameworks such as Express or Sails

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Git version control
  • Familiarity with browser rendering behavior and performance
  • Familiarity with JS automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Experience with backend/API development
  • Interest in DevOps principles
  • Experience with capabilities of major Cloud Service providers (Google, AWS, Azure)


Salary Range $88,800 - $147,000 USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
